White & Case Advises Credit Bank of Moscow on SPO

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Credit Bank of Moscow, as Issuer, on the RUB14.4 billion (approximately US$248 million) public offering of additionally issued ordinary shares on Moscow Exchange.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partners Darina Lozovsky (Moscow & London) and Inigo Esteve (London), and local partner Dmitry Lapshin (Moscow), with support from counsel Doron Loewinger (London) and associates Renat Akhmetzyanov, Yulia Akulinina and Anastasia Sheyndlina (all Moscow).

Global law firm White & Case LLP, in conjunction with Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), has advised on the successful contractual close of the Tunnels and Stations PPP package of the AUD 11 billion Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project. The AUD 6 billion Tunnels and Stations PPP is the largest contract on the biggest public transport project ever delivered in Victoria.

MinterEllison advises Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund on its acquisition of an 80 per cent stake in non-bank lender La Trobe Financial.

MinterEllison has advised Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund (Blackstone) on the acquisition of an 80% interest in non-bank lender La Trobe Financial (La Trobe).

Globally, Blackstone is a $US400 billion asset management giant, and the largest real estate private equity firm in the world. The investment is reflective of the New York-based Blackstone's interest in Australian growth opportunities.

William Fry Advises Irish Life on Danske Bank Pension Deal

William Fry has advised Irish Life in relation to Danske Bank's transfer of €335m of its Irish defined benefit pension liabilities to Irish Life.  It is understood to be the largest deal of its kind in the local market.  The deal is part of trend towards use of insurance techniques, such as annuity buy-ins and buy-outs, to ease the burden on pension schemes caused by unpredictable returns and longer lifespans.

Allen & Overy advises on USD1.25bn Senior Financing of the Pengerang Terminals Two Project

Allen & Overy has advised Pengerang Terminals (Two) Sdn Bhd ("PT2SB") and its sponsors in connection with a USD1.25 billion senior financing facility with a syndicate of nine international banks. The project, which is a joint venture between Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), Royal Vopak Group, Dialog Group Berhad and the State Secretary, Johor (Incorporated) achieved financial close on 19 December 2017.

Ashurst advised Munich-based industrial holding company ADCURAM Group AG in connection with the sale of its prefabricated house group to pan-European private equity firm Equistone. Ashurst acted for the seller in relation to a staple financing package, in the context of which potential financiers offered the buyer a financing package for the acquisition of the two prefabricated house manufacturers Bien-Zenker and Hanse Haus.
