International law firm Addleshaw Goddard (AG) has hired leading IP litigator Geoff Steward and four members of his award-winning team to further enhance its directory ranked intellectual property practice.

Geoff will join AG in October from Stobbs, where he was Head of Litigation and built a high-profile practice which won the Managing IP Trade Mark Disputes team award over several years.

International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that former U.S. Federal Trade Commission official and leading antitrust attorney Jasmine Rosner has joined the firm as a partner in the Antitrust practice group, based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Jasmine arrives from Amazon, where she has been advising the company on competition issues as Senior Corporate Counsel. Prior to Amazon, she served for nearly a decade in prominent roles at the FTC, most recently leading merger and non-merger investigations and enforcement actions.

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Scott Cockerham has joined the firm's Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the Transactional Tax Practice. Cockerham advises global companies and investors on the tax aspects of investments in the renewable energy and energy transition sectors.

Mayer Brown announced that Tom MacAulay has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate & Securities practice and Global Insurance Group in London. Tom joins from Legal & General, where he undertook several roles, most recently Structuring and Execution Director in the Institutional Retirement division’s Corporate Development team. Prior to that, Tom worked at two “magic circle” firms in London and Milan.

UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has announced the appointment of partner Christian Farrow to its Corporate team, based in Cardiff.

Christian joins from Acuity Law and has a broad corporate practice, with extensive experience advising on public and private M&A, joint ventures, management incentivisation arrangements, equity investments and fundraisings. 

DLA Piper has announced the appointment of Nic Henrikson as co-managing partner of its Muscat (Oman) office, effective from 16 September.
