King & Spalding announced that securities regulation lawyer Emily Gordy has joined the firm as a partner in its Special Matters and Government Investigations practice group. Gordy is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. 

Gordy handles a wide range of compliance and enforcement issues affecting broker-dealers, fintech companies, investment advisers and investment companies. She also has extensive anti-money laundering (AML) experience.

Top 50 law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper has boosted its Piraeus office with the recruitment of partner Richard Johnson-Brown, a litigator specialising in the shipping and maritime sectors.

Richard – who is dual qualified in Greece and England & Wales, and trained in London and in Piraeus – has built a highly successful practice in Greece, advising both domestic and international clients on a range of complex matters. He joins Penningtons Manches Cooper having trained at Holman Fenwick Willan and spent a decade in their Piraeus office.
