The international law firm’s Paris office has strengthened its private equity team with the arrival of Gwenaël Kropfinger, who specialises in the tax structuring of mid and large-cap acquisitions.

The creation of this tax department is part of Addleshaw Goddard's strategy to develop its transactional teams across Europe.

Global law firm Ashurst has appointed forensic and financial crime expert Rachel Sexton to its Risk Advisory business in the UK. The practice was launched to respond to client demand and builds on the success of the firm's Australian-based risk advisory offering. Rachel, who joins as UK Head of the Ashurst Risk practice, brings a wealth of leadership expertise and excellent credentials as a business builder having previously established two large consulting practices at major advisory firms. 

Global law firm Hogan Lovells has announced the appointment of Tom van Duuren as a partner in the firm’s global M&A practice, based in the Amsterdam office.

Tom joins Hogan Lovells from CMS. He advises both international and national clients on a wide variety of corporate restructurings, joint ventures and related financing arrangements across the automotive, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. He is also qualified as a civil law notary under Dutch law, and handles transactions from start to finish.

Allen & Overy is further bolstering its Asia-Pacific Funds & Asset Management group with the appointment of Huaying Daisy Qi (Daisy), a partner based in the Shanghai office.

She is a highly recognised lawyer in the market, with extensive experience in advising Chinese and international clients on the formation and operation of domestic and international investment funds. She received her LL.B. and Master of Laws degrees from Peking University and her J.D. degree from Columbia University.

Vinson & Elkins announced that experienced antitrust litigators Mike Scarborough and Dylan Ballard have joined the firm as partners in San Francisco, adding depth to its nationally recognized Antitrust Litigation practice.

O’Melveny announced that Natasha Waglow Teleanu, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division in the Southern District of New York, has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in its Labor & Employment Practice Group. She will advise clients on complex labor and employment matters, including workplace investigations and employment litigation.

Morgan Lewis welcomes four highly accomplished trial lawyers to its market-leading toxic tort practice: Paul Scrudato and Jill Berry, who join from ArentFox Schiff as partners resident in New York, and Thomas Burns and Stephanie Spardone, who will join from Foley & Mansfield as a partner resident in Chicago and of counsel resident in Dallas, respectively.
