Global law firm Hogan Lovells has appointed Romain Marchand as a partner to the firm’s Infrastructure, Energy, Resources, and Projects practice area in Paris. He joins from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Cornilsen is qualified in both New York and Australia, and she represents leading investment and commercial banks, private credit funds and direct lenders, growth lenders and other financial institutions, as well as public and private corporate borrowers across a range of industries, including life sciences, technology, healthcare, fintech and industrials.

International law firm BCLP announced that Marc Thorley will join the London office later this month as a partner in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations practice group, within business and commercial disputes.  

Marc joins the firm from Baker McKenzie, where he previously served as EMEA Lead for its Global Financial Institutions Group. Prior to this, he spent twelve years as a partner at Simmons & Simmons, including a three-year stint in Hong Kong, where he served as Asia Head of Dispute Resolution.

International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that former U.S. Department of Justice litigator and trial attorney Meagan Bellshaw has joined the Firm as a partner in the Antitrust practice, based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Vinson & Elkins announced that Jon Niermann has joined the firm as an Austin-based partner in the firm’s Environmental practice.

Claire, previously the head of A&O Shearman's Political Law Group and partner in its Investigations & White-Collar Group, joins Steptoe as a partner in Washington, DC.

Sidley is pleased to announce that David Grubman and Adam Cromie have joined Sidley’s M&A practice as partners in the New York office. Mr. Grubman joins from Jones Day, where he was M&A Chair for the Americas for the firm’s corporate practice. He will be global co-leader of Sidley’s M&A practice. Mr. Cromie joins from Simpson Thacher, where he was an M&A partner. He worked with Mr. Grubman previously for seven years.

She joins from Latham & Watkins and previously practiced with Cleary Gottlieb.
