O’Melveny announced that Benjamin Aronson, former Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at the National Basketball Association, has joined the New York office as a partner in the firm’s General Litigation Practice Group and Entertainment, Sports & Media Industry Group. He will also advise on crisis and risk management and data privacy concerns.

PARTNER MOVES - U.S. department of commerce trade official Ryan Majerus joins King & Spalding’s international trade team

King & Spalding announced that former U.S. Department of Commerce official Ryan Majerus has joined the firm as a partner on the International Trade team in its Government Matters and Regulation practice group. Majerus is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Majerus most recently served as the acting Assistant Secretary for Enforcement and Compliance at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, he oversaw administrative litigation and enforcement policies of the U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty laws, among other areas.
