London — Mayer Brown announced that it has recruited leading structured and real estate finance lawyer Charles Malpass as a partner in the Banking & Finance practice in London. Charles joins Mayer Brown from Dechert, where he was head of the European structured finance and real estate finance practices. His arrival continues Mayer Brown’s strategic investment in its finance capabilities for funds and financial institutions, both in London and in other financial centers around the world.

The global firm Jones Day announces that Michelle Bradfield has joined the Firm's Global Disputes Practice as a partner in its London Office. She also will be developing her practice in Australia.

TLT is continuing to grow its Clean Energy team with the hire of Simon Courie as a partner in its commercial services group in London.

Simon is joining the firm as a specialist energy projects lawyer and brings a wealth of experience advising developers, investors and banks on significant projects in the clean energy sector. Addleshaw Goddard is doubling the size of its operations in continental Europe with the opening of its first office in France, Europe's third biggest economy. 18 lawyers from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner led by Office Managing Partner Rémy Blain, will join four real estate lawyers from K&L Gates led by Head of Real Estate Edouard Vitry who arrived at AG at the beginning of 2021.

Maria joins from Orrick, where she built a strong practice advising multinational companies, large corporates and high net worth individuals in Commercial Court litigation and international arbitration, spanning a variety of sectors and with a particular expertise in civil fraud and shareholder and joint venture disputes.  

Tilman Siebert joins King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) as a partner, adding to the firm’s service offering his German and EU competition law practice. He will closely work with the established KWM transaction team as well as with the international offices, joining King & Wood Mallesons award winning competition teams in, inter alia, Australia and China. His expertise perfectly in particular complements the transaction practice in Frankfurt, both in the traditional M&A business, including transactions by Asian investors, as well as in the field of private equity.

Global law firm Goodwin announced that Geoff O’Dea will join the firm’s Private Equity practice as partner in the London office.
