PARTNER MOVES - Shoosmiths’ tax practice expands with hire of fourth partner

UK law firm Shoosmiths has recruited tax partner Anika Chandra to grow its employee incentives offering as part of the firm’s corporate tax team.

Anika joins from Stephenson Harwood, where she advised a range of FTSE and AIM listed public companies and private company clients on all aspects of employee incentives, including the design and implementation of share plans and cash bonus arrangements, the tax aspects of the termination of employment, corporate transactions and reporting and other compliance obligations.

Harris will reside in the firm’s St. Louis office and joins from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Harris brings more than 17 years of experience investigating and prosecuting significant federal criminal crimes. His caseload as a federal prosecutor featured corporate embezzlement, Ponzi-type schemes and numerous forms of financial crime.

Laura Siegel Rabinowitz has joined the New York office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a shareholder in its International Trade Practice.  She was special counsel at Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP prior to joining the firm.

Prior to entering private practice, Siegel Rabinowitz served as an attorney with U.S. Customs’ Office of the Assistant Chief Counsel, representing Customs in litigation in the Court of International Trade.
