Allen & Overy advises UniInstitutional Infrastruktur SICAV-SIF on the acquisition of the Lilbourne wind farm

Allen & Overy LLP has advised UniInstitutional Infrastruktur SICAV-SIF, a renewable energy fund managed by Union Investment, on the acquisition of the Lilbourne wind farm, located at England’s east coast near Rugby.
 
Vendor was the Germany based Energiekontor AG which develops and manages wind farms in a number of European countries. The Lilbourne wind farm consists of five MM100 turbines from Senvion with a total capacity of 10 MW.

Hill Dickinson advises Dee Valley Water plc as it secures £30m HSBC funding

Hill Dickinson’s banking and finance team has advised water utility company, Dee Valley Water plc, on the refinancing of its existing bank funding which includes a £30 million funding package from HSBC.

Dee Valley Water supplies around 63 million litres of water every day to more than 258,000 people over 831 square kilometres across North East Wales and the North West of England.

Norton Rose Fulbright is appointed international legal counsel on MoZiSA, a milestone regional interconnector project

Norton Rose Fulbright, is advising the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) on the development of the regional interconnector transmission line between Mozambique, Zimbabwe and South Africa (MoZiSA) that will result in improved trade within the Southern African region. That involvement begins with the initial feasibility phase and continues right through to financial close.

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, has advised AIM listed Sound Oil plc (“Sound Oil”) on a £12 million placing and an open offer to other existing shareholders to raise up to £3.46 million, each at an issue price of 19p per ordinary share.  Each share issued will be accompanied by a detachable warrant to subscribe for new ordinary shares at an exercise price of 24p.

Genmar advised by WFW on milestone merger with Navig8 Crude Tankers

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”)-advised General Maritime Corporation (“Genmar”) on its recent merger with Navig8 Crude Tankers (“Navig8”), which will create one of the world’s largest owners of very large crude carriers (VLCCs), according to TradeWinds. The new entity will be known as Gener8 Maritime (“Gener8”), will be based in New York and will run 46 ships, including 28 VLCCs.

Waterlogic Australia is a subsidiary of the Waterlogic Group, which is a leading provider of point-of-use (POU) water purification systems and dispensers throughout offices, schools, hospitals, restaurants and homes across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Australia.
 

Milbank Advises TEPCO in Expanding Investment in the Umm al Nar Power and Water Project in the UAE

In a significant transaction demonstrating their commitment to promoting their overseas power generation business, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has advised Tokyo Electric Power Company Incorporated (TEPCO) on its purchase of the entire equity stake in the Umm al Nar power and water project in the UAE previously held by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui).
