The joint bookrunners included BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and Wells Fargo Securities.

Simpson Thacher Represents International Managers in US$1.19 Billion Equity Offering of Mercari

Simpson Thacher recently represented Morgan Stanley & Co. International, Daiwa Capital Markets Europe, J.P. Morgan Securities, Merrill Lynch International, SMBC Capital Markets and Mizuho International, the international joint lead managers of a ¥130.6 billion (approximately US$1.19 billion) offering of 43,554,800 shares of Mercari, Inc. (“Mercari”). The global offering included an international offering to institutional investors outside Japan in reliance on Rule 144A and Regulation S. The offering was the largest equity offering in Japan to date this year.

Dentons advises mBank on EMTN Programme of up to EU3 billion

Dentons advised mBank S.A., acting as the issuer, on finance, corporate and regulatory matters related to the establishment of its EMTN Programme and preparation of the bond issue prospectus.

Under the Programme mBank will be allowed to directly issue debt instruments in many tranches and currencies, with various interest structures and due dates. The instruments may be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange or on any other stock exchange located in a European Union member state, including the possibility of simultaneous listings on a number of such stock exchanges.

Herbert Smith Freehills' renewables experts advise on the project financing of the largest wind farm in the southern hemisphere

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the financiers on the project financing of Goldwind Australia’s 530MW Stockyard Hill Wind Farm, located approximately 35km west of Ballarat, Victoria.

Once completed, the wind farm, which reached financial close on 28 March 2018 and began construction in June 2018, will be the largest wind farm in the southern hemisphere and produce clean energy to power up to 391,000 Victorian homes.

The wind farm will consist of 149 of Goldwind’s latest technology 3S Wind Turbines.

Ashurst advises on US$4.9 billion LAX Automated People Mover project

International law firm Ashurst advised the lenders on the financing for the US$4.9 billion Los Angeles International Airport Automated People Mover project (LAX APM), which reached financial close on 8 June 2018. The financing comprises $1.3 billion in private activity bonds, $270 million in bank debt and $103 million private partner equity.
