SiteMinder Opens New Base in Ireland - Advised by Matheson

Australian technology firm SiteMinder, the hotel industry’s leading cloud platform, announced in August its plans to create 100 jobs through the opening of a new office in Galway city. The company is expanding its global network which already includes offices in Bangkok, Dallas and Sydney, and their European headquarters in London. Ireland functions as a complementary location to service hotels within the region and globally. Matheson acted as Irish advisers on the project, which is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Hannes Snellman Counsel to Vitec Software Group in Its Acquisition of Futursoft

Vitec Software Group AB (publ) has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in the Finnish software company Futursoft Oy specialized in software for the automotive and machinery industries. Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Vitec Software Group AB (publ). Our core team included Rabbe Sittnikow, Panu Siitonen, Jesper Kostiainen and Sara Soini.

It was announced August 1 that Fujitsu Services Holdings has acquired Symphony ESM , one of the most well-established and experienced ServiceNow partners in Northern Europe.

Arntzen de Besche has assisted Fujitsu Services Holdings with advice on all the Norwegian aspects of the transaction. The team was led by Per A. Dagslet, assisted by a team consisting of Pål A. White & Case Advised Cukurova Group on Sale of its Interest in DP Acquisitions (Holding company for the Digiturk Group)

Global law firm White & Case advised Cukurova Group in relation to the sale by its affiliate, Fintur Technologies BV, of its interest in DP Acquisitions BV (Holding company for the Digiturk Group) to beIN Media Group. The other shareholder, Providence Equity Partners, also sold its shares in the transaction.  The Firm provided both English and Turkish law support to the Cukurova Group, working alongside Tuvan Yalim from Kabine Law Office.

Weil Advises Univision Communications Inc. on Sale of Gawker Media Group’s Digital Media Assets

Weil is advising Univision Communications Inc., a leading American media company, with respect to the Hungarian aspects of the $135 million acquisition of Gawker Media Group’s digital media assets, following its filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy as a direct result of the Hulk Hogan invasion of privacy lawsuit. The deal, which will be accounted for as an asset purchase, includes the Gizmodo, Jalopnik, Jezebel, Deadspin, Lifehacker and Kotaku digital platforms of Gawker (Univision will not be operating the Gawker.com site).

Paris - Altice announced it filed today a public exchange offer for all of the remaining shares issued by SFR Group, a publicly traded company listed in Paris. The share-for-share offer targeting the 22.5% free-float not yet owned by Altice is made on the basis of 8 new Altice NV class A shares for 5 SFR Group shares. The transaction values SFR Group at approximately 11 billion Euros.

August 31, 2016, Sensirion AG, a Swiss leading sensor manufacturer, has sold its digital barometric absolute pressure sensor business to an international sensor company. The sale included all related intellectual property rights and other assets located in Switzerland and Taiwan.
