Norton Rose Fulbright advises Partners Group on the acquisition of a 16.44 MW solar portfolio in Lazio

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Partners Group on the acquisition of a 16.44 MW solar portfolio from Renovalia Italia S.r.l., the Italian branch of the leading Spanish renewable energy company Renovalia. The solar portfolio is located in the Lazio Region and is owned and managed by three project companies. The purchase price is confidential.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by Milan-based partner and head of the Italian energy practice, Arturo Sferruzza, assisted by associates Marcello Ciampi, Luigi Costa and Chiara Toccagni. DLA Piper assisted the seller.

WFW advises Capital Stage on the acquisition of a 4.5 MW photovoltaic portfolio in Central Italy

Watson, Farley & Williams has advised Capital Stage AG, a German renewable energy company, on the acquisition of the entire share capital of MTS4 S.r.l. (“MTS4”) from Martifer Solar S.r.l.

WFW advised Capital Stage on both the legal and financial aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence and drafting and preparation of all related contracts.

MTS4 owned three ground-mounted photovoltaic plants in Noceto, in the province of Parma, which have been in operation since December 2012 and have a total nominal capacity of approximately 4.5 MW.

Trowers & Hamlins is delighted to be acting for long-standing client Richard Caring on the acquisition of 4-6 Berkeley Square, W1, for a new project with a restaurant element.

Caring's Caprice Holdings, which owns Le Caprice, The Ivy and Scott’s restaurants, plans to establish the new, yet-to-be-named restaurant within the 8,000 sq ft ground floor and basement space in Mayfair.

Ashurst advises Alpina Real Estate on the acquisition of the Bülow Tower in Stuttgart

Ashurst advised a Luxembourg-based company managed by Alpina Real Estate on the acquisition of the office building Bülow Tower in Stuttgart. The property was sold by a real estate company owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The Bülow Tower, comprising a rental area of almost 14,000 m², was built in 1991 and has recently been redeveloped.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises Origin on unconventional gas farm-in in Australia’s Cooper-Eromanga Basin

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised ASX-listed Origin Energy Limited on its acquisition of exploration interests in two unconventional gas blocks in the Cooper-Eromanga Basin, South Australia through farm-in agreements with Senex Energy Limited.

The two blocks comprise parts of existing titles PEL 115 and 516 (Area A) and the permian section and all underlying strata of part of PEL 514 (Area B) which together cover over 1,900 km2 . The blocks provide exposure to multiple unconventional play types including tight sands, shale and deep coal seams.

DLA Piper advises on the acquisition of BMW logistics centre

DLA Piper has advised Tilad, a multi-family office based in the Gulf region, on the acquisition of the BMW Logistics Centre in Niederaichbach near Munich.

The acquisition was made by way of an asset deal, and was sold by IM Properties plc, one of the UK's largest property companies.

Tilad led a consortium of investors from the Middle East. The BMW Logistics Centre, with about 98,540 square metres area in total, was the first acquisition in Germany made by the consortium.

Dechert and PwC Advise AGC Equity Partners on Acquisition of Vodafone Campus

A German-British team of international law firm Dechert LLP led by Dr. Olaf Fasshauer, Hans Stamm (both Munich) and Jeremy Trinder (London) advised a fund managed by asset investment firm AGC Equity Partners Limited on the partial acquisition of Vodafone Campus as well as on the related financing. PwC Real Estate led by Andrew Smith (London) and Marcel Mies (Düsseldorf) also acted as advisors in this transaction.

The transaction is one of the most significant real estate deals signed 2013 in Germany.

Advising R-Pharm on the acquisition of a production plant from Pfizer

Simmons & Simmons has advised Russian R-Pharm group on the acquisition of a production plant from Pfizer as well as a cooperation agreement.

The plant acquired by R-Pharm is located in the Bavarian town of Illertissen. The plant is producing Campix, a medication used to treat nicotine addiction which is now produced by R-Pharm for Pfizer.
