Hengeler Mueller advises MP Beteiligungs-GmbH on sale of interest in MOBOTIX

MP Beteiligungs-GmbH, Kaiserslautern, sold its 10 per cent interest in MOBOTIX AG to Konica Minolta. In the course of the transaction Konica Minolata purchased additional 50 per cent from MOBOTIX founder and major shareholder Ralf Hinkel and 65 per cent in total of the shares of MOBOTIX.

Mobotix AG is a producer of video surveillance equipment and the belonging software. It distributes its products in 80 countries worldwide. The shares of the company are listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Entry Standard).

Osborne Clarke advises QD Ventures on its investment in Marley Spoon

Osborne Clarke has advised QD Ventures on its investment in start-up company Marley Spoon GmbH. Other lenders are Luxor Capital, Kreos Capital as well as existing investors Lake Star, Global Founders Capital and Point Nine. The total investment amounts to EUR 15 million. Marley Spoon has also secured up to EUR 40 million in media volume from media-for-equity fund GMPVC

The Berlin-based company is a recipe kit delivery service and has already received investments of around EUR 8.7 million. The new capital will be used to accelerate growth.

DWF advises Redx Pharma in raising £10m

DWF LLP advised Liverpool-headquartered drug developer Redx Pharma to raise £10m before expenses through a share placing.

£9.4m will be used to progress its pipeline and further develop other assets in immune-oncology, infection and immunology.

Neil Murray, Chief Executive of Redx, said: "We are delighted to have successfully raised these new funds with approximately half coming from new institutional investors and also with very strong support from our existing shareholders.

Linklaters advises Glencore on $2.5bn deal

Linklaters has advised mining and commodity trader Glencore on its sale of a 40% stake in its agricultural business to Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB).

The deal with CPPIB is a key part of the deleveraging plan launched by the UK-listed company to strengthen its balance sheet. Glencore is targeting $4bn to $5bn of asset sales this year.

The Linklaters team was led by Corporate partners David Avery-Gee, Charlie Jacobs and managing associate Ian Hunter.

BioTelemetry Technology acquires ePatch division of DELTA Danish Electronics, Light & Acoustics

On 1 April 2016, US listed company BioTelemetry Technology Inc. (NYSE) announced that it has concluded an agreement to acquire the ePatch division from DELTA Danish Electronics, Light & Acoustics, which is a Danish GTS institute (a technological service institute under the Danish Ministry of Science).

Hill Dickinson advises as Networks division of Samarind Limited is acquired by Brighter Connections

Hill Dickinson has acted for IT services and software development company Samarind Limited on the disposal of its Networks division to IT infrastructure and services group Brighter Connections.

Hill Dickinson corporate partner Ian Riggs and associate James Down advised Samarind Limited on the transaction with employment advice provided by partner David Parry.

The acquisition is expected to add extra depth and market reach, and will enable the two organisations to service a broader demographic and provide a more complete offer to clients.
