Addleshaw Goddard has advised Hikma Pharmaceuticals plc on a 50:50 joint venture with Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi's MIDROC Group. This joint venture, called HikmaCure, establishes a presence for Hikma in the Ethiopian pharmaceutical market.
The Addleshaw Goddard team was led by corporate finance partner Chris Taylor with support from managing associate Simon Wood.

Clyde & Co advised biotechnology company, FibroGen, on its strategic collaboration with AstraZeneca to develop and commercialise FG-4592, a first-in-class oral compound in late stages of development.
Through this collaboration, FibroGen and AstraZeneca will undertake the extensive FG-4592 Phase III development program for the US, and with Phase III trials in China. The anticipated regulatory filings are expected in China in 2015 and the US in 2017.
On September 10, 2013, IBM and SYNNEX Corporation announced a definitive agreement in which SYNNEX will acquire IBM’s worldwide customer care business process outsourcing services business for $505 million, consisting of approximately $430 million in cash and $75 million in stock. Cravath represented IBM in connection with this transaction.
Dechert advised Servier in connection with its collaboration agreement in cardiovascular disease with Amgen. Under the terms of the agreement, Amgen has obtained commercial rights in the U.S. to Servier's novel oral drug, ivabradine, for chronic heart failure and stable angina. Amgen has also received an option to develop and commercialize Servier's investigational molecule, S38844, for cardiovascular diseases in the U.S.

Hong Kong: Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised AMP Capital on its proposed establishment of a joint venture funds management company with China Life Asset Management Company, a subsidiary of China Life Insurance China access to China (Group) Company, China's largest insurance group and the world's largest listed insurance company by market capitalisation.
The joint venture will operate as China Life AMP Asset Management, offering retail and institutional investors in China mutual funds in domestic equities and fixed income products.
