Dla piper advises H.I.G. Europe on acquisition of adelie foods

DLA Piper has advised H.I.G. Europe (H.I.G.), the European arm of global private equity firm H.I.G. Capital, on the acquisition of Adelie Foods.

Adelie is the UK's leading Food-to-Go business and serves a number of well-known food retailers such as Sainsbury's and Boots as well as several of the UK's largest coffee shop chains. It was previously owned by India Hospitality Corporation (IHC), led by entrepreneurs Ravi Deol and Sandeep Vyas who will maintain a minority equity holding.

Squire Patton Boggs Advises A Schulman in Acquisition of Citadel Plastics

A Squire Patton Boggs cross-office team, led by Cleveland partner and head of the firm’s Chemicals Practice Carolyn Buller and San Francisco senior attorney Laura Kacenjar, advised plastic compounds and chemical maker A. Schulman Inc. in its acquisition of private equity-backed Citadel Plastics Holdings Inc. This is the second deal the firm has done recently for the company as it continues to expand and diversify its US portfolio into the high-value specialty plastics market.

CMS advises Savills plc acquiring SEB Asset Management AG

Savills plc is acquiring SEB Asset Management AG (SEBAM) after a bidding process structured by investment bank Lazard. SEBAM is one of Germany’s leading real estate asset managers and belongs to the Swedish SEB Group. Going forward, SEBAM’s activities will be combined with the Savills Group’s existing asset management business, Cordea Savills. The Cordea Savills Group currently has assets under management totalling EUR 7 billion. Added together with SEBAM the figure will rise to almost EUR 15 billion in Europe, plus around EUR 2 billion in Asia.

Ashurst acts in A$8.2bn GE acquisition

Ashurst has acted for the consortium of KKR, Varde Partners and Deutsche Bank in the A$8.2 billion acquisition of GE Capital Finance Australasia Pty Ltd's Australian and New Zealand consumer lending business, one of the largest private equity transactions ever in Australia and New Zealand.

GE's consumer lending business has more than three million customers and offers a range of consumer financial products including sales finance, credit cards, personal loans and consumer credit insurance.

RPC takes lead UK role for Sierra Nevada Corporation in strategic deal

Acquisition of 328 Support Services sees US-based aerospace company expand significantly into the UK and Germany

City law firm, RPC, has advised new client Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), the US-based aerospace company, on the English law components of its acquisition of 328 Support Services (328) and its affiliated entities.

The RPC team, led by Partner Anthony Shatz and including Associate Paul Jenkins, advised on the corporate aspects of this cross-border transaction.

DLA Piper advises Keolis Downer on Australian Transit Enterprises acquisition

DLA Piper has advised Keolis Downer on its agreement to acquire Australian Transit Enterprises (ATE) for AU$163 million.

ATE is one of Australia's largest route, school and charter bus businesses operating a fleet of more than 900 buses in South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

The acquisition will further strengthen the Keolis Downer public transport network which is already established in Victoria through Yarra Trams and in Queensland through the Gold Coast Light Rail.
