Piero Carbone has joined Jones Day as a partner in the Corporate Practice. He is based in the Firm's London Office.

Mr. Carbone focuses on cross-border corporate transactions, particularly in the area of private equity. He advises private equity firms on a range of transactions, including mid-market and large leveraged buyouts, public-to-private (P2P) transactions, buy-and-build transactions, and reorganizations. Mr. Carbone also advises private credit funds and other private capital solutions funds managers on their debt and structured investments.

Goodwin announces that Athena Kontosakou has joined the firm’s Antitrust and Competition practice, as a partner in the Brussels office.

This appointment follows the recent opening of the firm’s new office in Brussels and the arrival of leading EU and UK competition law partner Stephen Mavroghenis who will lead the firm’s Brussels office.
