Ms. Anderson most recently served as Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she handled complex national security and cyber legal issues.

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP today announced that Pearl Xiang Yuan-Garg, an experienced acquisition and leveraged finance lawyer, has joined the firm as a partner in New York.

Yuan-Garg routinely advises on leveraged financing transactions in connection with acquisitions, dividend recapitalization and restructuring across a broad range of sectors. She also has significant experience in complex workouts and restructurings.

Prior to her new position with Cadwalader, Yuan-Garg was a Counsel in the Finance Group of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP.

DLA Piper advises Sberbank on the Creation of a Digital Platform for the Restaurant Market

DLA Piper has advised Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, on its joint venture (JV) with Rambler Group and several other investors to create Foodplex, a united digital platform for the restaurant market. The stake of Sberbank in the JV will be 35% and Rambler Group will own 30%. Another 35% will be owned by GHP Partners, Grigoriy Gurevich and Evgeniy Malakhov.

DLA Piper advises Maryland Proton Treatment Center in US$277.4 million tax-exempt municipal bond financing

DLA Piper represented Maryland Proton Therapy Center (MPTC) in its US$277.4 million tax-exempt municipal bond financing. The financing allows MPTC, a proton cancer treatment center, to restructure its debt obligations. The treatment center, located in the Maryland BioPark in downtown Baltimore, provides state-of-the-art therapy to cancer patients; its increasing patient volumes have reached over 100 patients a day.
