CMS advises UBS on the sale of the hotel Widder

As of 31 August 2018, UBS has sold the hotel Widder as well as adjacent premises located at Augustinerhof 1, Augustinergasse 15 and 20 as well as Widdergasse 10, to Swiss Life. The sale is a consequence of the upcoming re-opening of UBS's headquarter at Bahnhofstrasse 45 which will create additional space for UBS which is why the hotel Widder will no longer be required as a alternate location for conferences and seminars.

Dentons acts for Penrith Council on “city shaping” project

Sydney—Dentons has advised Penrith Council on a Project Delivery Agreement with Frasers Property Australia that will see the Union Road Carpark transformed into a new city centre, in the growing metropolitan area of Western Sydney.

The 1.94ha Union Road precinct will include six residential apartment buildings with up to 1,406 residential apartments, a council-owned public car park with up to 1,000 additional spaces, retail, child care facilities, a public plaza and landscaped communal areas.

DLA Piper advises Zeeland Family on acquisition of communications agency Nitroid Oy

DLA Piper has advised marketing communications group, Zeeland Family Plc (Zeeland Family), on its acquisition of Nitroid Oy (Nitroid), and the private offering and listing of shares on the Nasdaq Helsinki.

Nitroid is a marketing communications agency with offices in Kotka, Kouvola and Lappeenranta, South-Eastern Finland. It employs 32 staff.

DLA Piper advises Aareal Bank on financing of pan-european logistics portfolio

DLA Piper has advised leading international property specialist Aareal Bank Group, on the provision of a complex five-year term debt facility of up to €800 million to certain funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management LLC, together with its consolidated subsidiaries "Apollo." The debt will finance a pan-European portfolio of logistics properties, with the tailor-made facility providing stability, security and flexibility for Apollo’s growing and diverse pan-European logistics portfolio.

White & Case Advises Michelin on €2.5 Billion Bond Issue

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Groupe Michelin, the leading tire company, on a three-tranche, €2.5 billion bond issue, with seven-year, 12-year and 20-year maturities respectively.

The bonds, which were offered via an international private placement to qualified investors, were issued by Compagnie Générale des Etablissements Michelin and will be admitted to trading on Euronext Paris. The proceeds from the issue, which was largely oversubscribed, will be used for general corporate purposes.

Gide advises Les Nouveaux Constructeurs and Aermont Capital on the contemplated acquisition of property developer BPD Marignan

Gide has advised Les Nouveaux Constructeurs (LNC) and Aermont Capital LLP (Aermont) on their entering into exclusive negotiations with Rabobank and its subsidiary BPD Europe for the acquisition of property development group BPD Marignan.

Following this transaction, BPD Marignan will be held by a joint company owned 60% by LNC and 40% by a property investment fund advised by Aermont.

Dentons advises Hurricane Energy on farm - out of Lincoln and Warwick assets

London—Dentons has advised longstanding client Hurricane Energy plc, the oil exploration and production company focused on fractured basement reservoirs, on the farm-out of 50 per cent of its interests in the Lincoln and Warwick assets (collectively known as the Greater Warwick Area) to Spirit Energy Limited. Spirit Energy is an independent exploration and production operator which was formed by the combination of Centrica plc's E&P business and Bayerngas Norge AS.
