TLT advises NESF on first co-located battery storage and solar acquisitions

TLT has advised NextEnergy Capital, investment manager for the NextEnergy Solar Fund (NESF), on its £9.3m acquisition of two co-located solar and battery storage projects from Battery Energy Storage Solutions and a consortium of private equity EIS investors.

The projects, Pierces Farm and Salcey Farm, represent NESF’s first investment in co-located technology and add to the fund's already substantial and rapidly growing portfolio.

Trowers advises Permodalan Nasional Berhad on 20 year letting to WeWork

International law firm advised Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Malaysia’s leading fund management company, on the 20 year letting of Aviation House to WeWork.

The flexible co-working provider will occupy 130,000 sq ft across eight floors of the building near Holborn Underground station, which it will revamp. Once open, it will become the Midtown hub for the rapidly expanding company which has opened 24 locations in London in the last four years.

Offering is the second-largest U.S. corporate bond sale of 2018

Linklaters has advised the Vodafone Group on its US$11.5 billion bond offering, which represents the second-largest U.S. high-grade bond to price this year.

The dollar-denominated offering consisted of six-tranches and closed on May 30, 2018. The SEC-registered notes have fixed and floating rates with an average life of 14 years and effective average euro rate of 2.0%. They are expected to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Ashurst advises Capzanine and NIBC on financing the acquisition of multimedia software house Magix

Ashurst advised the European independent private investment management fund Capzanine and commercial bank NIBC Bank Deutschland AG on the financing of the acquisition of a majority stake in Magix, leading provider of software for the editing of video and music content as well as photographs, by Capiton. While Capzanine provided a second out senior term loan – its first debt investment in Germany - NIBC supported the transaction with a first out senior term loan and revolving facilities.

Jones Day advised Jones Lang Lasalle Incorporated’s subsidiary LaSalle Investment Management on its agreement to acquire the entire Real Estate Multi-Manager (“REMM”) business of Aviva Investors and full ownership of the management of the Encore+ fund (“Encore+”). Aviva's REMM business has $7 billion (€6.05 billion) of assets under management. Encore+, an open-ended Continental European real estate fund, currently has a gross asset value of $ 1.967 billion (€1.7 billion).
