Sarang (Sy) Damle brings extensive government experience in copyright law to the firm’s renowned Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce that Sarang (Sy) Damle will join the firm as a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in September. His practice will focus on high-stakes copyright litigation, rate-setting, and regulatory matters, including disputes involving music, software, information technology, and the internet. Damle expects to practice in the Washington, D.C. office.

DLA Piper has announced that Matthew Gruenberg has joined the firm's Franchise and Distribution practice as a partner in Los Angeles.

Gruenberg focuses his practice on a range of transactional and regulatory matters, including M&A, private equity and real estate transactions. His franchise clients range from startups to mature public companies in various industries including entertainment, financial services, food services, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, restaurant, sports, technology and textiles.

Notes issued under the Programme are guaranteed by Swire Properties Limited and may be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Stephenson Harwood advises Bowmark on buy-out of Lawyers on Demand

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Bowmark Capital (Bowmark), a mid-market private equity firm, on the buy-out of Lawyers on Demand (LOD) from, among others,  Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

LOD, the fast-growing alternative legal services provider, was launched in 2007. Following its 2016 merger with AdventBalance in Asia and Australia, LOD has ten offices, more than 650 lawyers and consultants, and over 500 corporate and law firm clients.
