Tech Pharmacy Gets $24 Million Judgment After Trial in Eastern District of Texas

On March 8, 2018, the Honorable Judge Amos L. Mazzant entered a Final Judgment awarding damages and attorneys’ fees of more than  $24,000,000.00 to Plaintiff Tech Pharmacy Services, LLC and against Defendants Alixa Rx LLC, Golden Gate National Senior Care, LLC d/b/a Golden LivingCenters, and Fillmore Capital Partners LLC. This Final Judgment comes after a three-week jury trial in August and September 2017 in Sherman, Texas.

Shoosmiths appointed to advise on landmark £160m development in Leeds

Shoosmiths acted as legal advisor to the developers of a landmark £160m skyscraper earmarked for a site in Leeds.

Leeds-based property developer Parklane Group instructed Shoosmiths to provide legal advice for the proposed development, which would total 33 storeys and comprise almost 485,000 sq ft of space.

The proposed INC building, on Wellington Street, would be developed into a mix of commercial, residential and leisure facilities. Plans for the scheme include a 198 unit aparthotel, 163 PRS apartments and 200 co-living apartments.

Slaughter and May advised Maersk Oil on aspects of the $7.45 billion acquisition of Maersk Oil by Total

Slaughter and May advised Maersk Oil on competition and energy law aspects of Total S.A.’s acquisition of Maersk Oil from AP Moller Maersk for $8.1 billion.  The transaction, which was completed on 8 March 2018, saw Total acquire Maersk’s upstream oil and gas division with around 1 billion boe of 2P/ 2C reserves and 160,000 boepd production from assets in Europe, Africa, Middle East, North America and South America.
