Gowling WLG advises MBO at bavius technologie GmbH

Gowling WLG's Corporate team has advised on the management buy-out (MBO) of manufacturer bavius technologie gmbh (formerly Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH), which has been acquired by the business' managing director Armin Walther in a deal that included the firm's foreign subsidiaries in the US, Russia and China.

As a result of the MBO, the business unit '5-axle HSC/HPC machining centres' was divested from the Handtmann Group. The completion of the foreign transactions is envisaged for the first quarter of 2018, and the transaction volume will remain confidential.

DLA Piper acted as legal counsel to Agilitas Private Equity-backed Relita Industri- & Skadeservice AB, the Swedish division of Recover Nordic Group, a provider of damage control, emergency response and environmental services, in its acquisition of Betongborrargruppen i Mälardalen AB (BBG), a company specialising in specialist demolition and remediation of concrete for real estate and construction projects in Sweden.

DLA Piper advises Zeus Capital Limited as nominated advisor and broker on OnTheMarket plc IPO

DLA Piper has advised Zeus Capital Limited as nominated advisor and broker to OnTheMarket plc, operator of the residential property portal of the same name, on its listing on AIM and associated placing of shares, which began trading on Friday 9 February. The placing raised £30 million, resulting in a market capitalisation of approximately £100 million for OnTheMarket plc.

Clifford Chance advises Amundi on 49% share sale in Berlin real estate Rocket Tower

Amundi Real Estate, Europe's largest asset investment manager, has sold 49 percent of shares in the Berlin office property Rocket Tower to Finnish pension fund Ilmarinen. International law firm Clifford Chance has again advised Amundi on this transaction.

Reed Smith advises Warehouse REIT plc on acquisition of 51 multi-let UK assets from Industrial Multi-Property Trust

Reed Smith has advised Warehouse REIT plc in relation to its acquisition of a portfolio of 51 multi-let UK warehouse assets for £116 million from Industrial Multi-Property Trust, a subsidiary of Hansteen Holdings plc. The transaction was structured as a corporate acquisition of a group of Isle of Man companies which currently own the portfolio. Reed Smith handled the corporate and tax aspects of the transaction.

This transaction follows Warehouse REIT’s successful listing on AIM in September 2017 which the Reed Smith team also advised on.
