Stephenson Harwood advises China Development Bank on US$1.6 billion financing of Yamal LNG ice-class carriers

Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised China Development Bank on the US$1.6 billion financing of six Arc7 LNG carrier newbuildings for a joint venture between Teekay LNG Partners and China LNG Shipping. The first vessel – EDUARD TOLL – was delivered earlier this month.

The vessels will operate under long-term charters servicing the Yamal LNG project in Russia and will have ice-breaking capabilities which will enable year-round use of the Arctic sea routes.

Linklaters has advised UBM Development AG, a leading Austrian developer listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, in relation to the EU54m sale of the "Pegaz" A-class office building in Wroclaw, Poland by its Polish wholly-owned subsidiary to Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate GmbH who acted on behalf of the real estate investment fund VEMEDSH Immobilien Invest.

DLA Piper has advised Beijing Sanyuan Foods and Chinese conglomerate Fosun on the €625 million (US$733 million) acquisition of French margarine maker St Hubert, a leading manufacturer of healthy spreads in France and Italy. This acquisition between Fosun and Sanyuan, one of China's largest state-owned dairy groups represents an important and practical step towards China's mixed-ownership reform.

Dentons advises Vitol on US$534 million debt financing for Shoreline Natural Resources

Dentons has advised long-standing client Vitol, the global energy and commodity trading group, on its participation in the recent US$534 million debt financing for Shoreline Natural Resources Limited (SNRL), the indigenous Nigerian oil producer which, together with the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, owns OML 30, a large onshore block in the western Niger Delta.

As well as refinancing existing indebtedness, the new credit facility will enable SNRL to increase production from OML 30 at a time when the oil market's recovery appears to be stabilising.

Clifford Chance advises Partners Group on exit from Trimco International Holdings Limited

Hong Kong: Clifford Chance advised global private markets investment manager Partners Group on its exit from global apparel labeling and branding solutions provider Trimco International Holdings Limited (Trimco) to funds advised by Affinity Equity Partners for US$520 million. Clifford Chance also advised Partners Group on its initial acquisition of Trimco, and follow-on investments.

Clifford Chance advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on its € 38 million loan to Figeac Aéro, a fast-growing French aerospace supplier, for the expansion of its production facilities in Morocco and in Tunisia.

Figeac Aéro is a company listed on Euronext Paris and is positioned as a major player in the production of aerostructures and high precision metal parts for major aircraft manufacturers and their suppliers.

Ashurst advises Lendlease on the regeneration scheme at High Road West, Tottenham

Ashurst has advised Lendlease on the development agreement with the London Borough of Haringey relating to the High Road West project in Tottenham, north London.

The scheme comprises a comprehensive residential led regeneration of the site that will support the delivery of a new sports and leisure destination for London.

Ashurst has advised Invesco on the asset sale of 1 New York Street, Manchester for circa £55,000,000 to The Royal London Pension Property Fund.

The mixed use building in Manchester comprises over 100,000 square feet of Grade A office, restaurant and bar space.  The sale was preceded by the re-gear of lettings to key tenants.

Real estate Partner Melanie Jordan oversaw the deal. The team was led by real estate senior associate Rudi Hakiman, together with Julie Connolly, Charlotte Assael and Emily Ludlow-Eyre.
