Bevan Brittan has welcomed two new partners as it looks to enhance its services in health and care in line with its growth strategy.

Regulatory specialist Tracey Longfield and employment and immigration law expert Lee Carroll will work in the Leeds office as part of a national practice. They will join other recent hires, property specialist Julie Morrison and dental law and corporate expert Faisal Dhalla, bringing the total number of health and care-focussed partners who have joined Bevan Brittan in Leeds this year to four.

Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Michael Wise as a partner in Washington DC, where he will serve as the firm’s US Antitrust Practice Leader. He joins from Paul Hastings LLP where he was partner in the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice and led the team handling antitrust regulatory issues.

Winston & Strawn LLP announced that Kathi Vidal will rejoin the firm’s Litigation Department as a partner in the firm’s Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C. offices and as a member of the Executive Committee after stepping down from her role as Undersecretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Kathi will rejoin Winston on December 16, 2024.
