Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP announced that J. Holt Foster, III has joined the Firm as the Managing Partner of Willkie’s newly-launched Dallas office. Holt is a well-known market leader with a diverse practice and significant leadership experience. For more than 25 years, Holt has guided a wide range of clients on various types of transactions across the energy sector and other key industries. His arrival follows the recent launch of Willkie’s Dallas office and addition of Dallas-based private equity partners Tom Tippets, Brandon McCoy and Chase Proctor.

Margot Laporte has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Government Solutions & Investigations (GSI) group in Washington, DC, the law firm announced.

Dorsey & Whitney LLP continues to expand its Phoenix office and its nationally recognized Government Solutions & Investigations (GSI) group with the arrival of former Assistant United States Attorney Andy Stone, who is joining the international law firm as a Partner. 

Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced the arrival of partner John Domby to the firm’s Real Estate department in Charlotte, NC. Domby joins Seyfarth from Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where he was a partner in its real estate finance and lending practice.

Alston & Bird has further strengthened its Litigation & Trial Practice Group and International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution Team with the addition of partner Amir Ghaffari and counsel Julia-Didon Cayre, who will reside in the firm’s London office. Amir focuses on complex international commercial and construction arbitration, advising multinational corporations, state-owned entities, financial institutions, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Julia focuses on advising global clients in commercial proceedings under the rules of all major arbitral institutions.

Finance attorneys Paul Severin, Kristin Bacchus and Patricia Whitten have joined Holland & Knight's nationally recognized Financial Services Team in Los Angeles as partners. They were previously partners with Loeb & Loeb, where Mr. Severin recently served as vice chair of the firm.

The addition of this team follows the hiring in June 2023 of Los Angeles-based finance Partners Hamid Namazie, Yoojin Lee and Mark Spitzer, who primarily focus on asset-based lending.

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labour law practice representing management, has added Shana French as a partner in its Toronto office. Her arrival comes as Stephen Shore, who joined Littler in April, is named Office Managing Partner in Toronto. French joins from Sherrard Kuzz and marks Littler’s seventh partner level addition since the beginning of April.
