Sophie specializes in primary fundraisings and advises managers on carried interest, co-investments and other incentive arrangements. In addition, Sophie has significant ESG expertise, as well as advising widely on impact and growth investing.

PARTNER MOVES - Covington strengthens patent litigation practice

Indranil (“Indy”) Mukerji, a first-chair patent trial lawyer, has joined Covington’s Patent Litigation practice as a partner, located in the firm’s Washington office. Steve Marshall, a patent litigator with decades of trial and litigation experience, has also joined the firm’s Patent Litigation practice as of counsel in the Washington office.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig further expands its International Arbitration & Litigation Practice with the addition of Nassif BouMalhab as a shareholder in the firm’s United Arab Emirates location (UAE). He joins Greenberg Traurig from Clyde & Co, where he was a partner and led its Middle East arbitration group.

BouMalhab’s joining Greenberg Traurig comes as the firm expands its London International Arbitration Practice with the appointment of three new shareholders, Jason Hambury, Gurmukh Riyat, and Clea Bigelow-Nuttall, from Pinsent Masons.

Gayle Curry returns to Mills & Reeve to support the growth of our commercial healthtech practice.

Gayle, who is an experienced commercial health lawyer with an expertise in healthtech, has joined from Mishcon de Reya where she was a partner in the firm’s commercial and technology groups.

Her appointment also sees a return to Mills & Reeve for Gayle, who was previously head of commercial health at the Birmingham office. In her new role, Gayle will have a national healthtech role, but will be based at our Oxford office.
