Global law firm Clifford Chance has announced that Michael Grenfell will join the firm as a Partner in its Global Antitrust Group, based in London, as the firm continues to bolster its offering in the technology, financial services, consumer goods and healthcare sectors.

Michael brings a breadth of experience, having joined from the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) where he served as the Executive Director of Enforcement. Prior to that, he was an antitrust partner at Norton Rose Fulbright.

Global law firm Clifford Chance announced that it has appointed Lynn Ammar as a partner in its global M&A practice. Lynn will join Clifford Chance in September, operating out of the firm’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices.

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced that Bernd Bohr has joined the firm’s London office as a partner in its banking and finance team.

Bernd, who is New York, English and German-qualified, advises clients on a broad range of capital markets and lending transactions, including investment grade and leveraged finance / sub-investment grade transactions as well as restructurings.

As international trade, export controls, sanctions and customs regulatory schemes are posing increasingly complex regulatory challenges to global entities, Pillsbury has recruited leading International Trade partner Sungbum Lee, who will initially be based in the firm’s growing London office. Lee joins from leading South Korean law firm Yoon & Yang LLC, where he was also a partner.

Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global International Trade Practice with the addition of David Lim as a partner in Washington, DC.

John Bostic has joined Cooley’s Palo Alto office as a partner in the firm’s white collar defense and investigations practice and global litigation department. Bostic joins after nearly a decade with the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, where he tried some of the office’s most significant cases – including the case against Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes and COO Ramesh Balwani.

Baker McKenzie is further expanding its global M&A practice with the addition of Daniel Dehghanian, LL.M., who joins as a partner on June and will be based in the Firm's Düsseldorf office. Daniel, who has been advising clients on M&A transactions and other strategic challenges for nearly 20 years, joins from Hogan Lovells. He will be joined by Sophie Ulrich, an experienced deal lawyer with whom he has been working for many years, who comes to the Firm as a counsel.
