National law firm Bevan Brittan has announced its sixth new Partner hire of 2024, following the addition of a property specialist to its expanding Leeds team.

Julie Morrison brings over 20 years of real estate experience to the business and will be working on property matters for a number of NHS bodies and the Welsh Education Partnership (WEPCo). Bracewell (UK) LLP announced that François Feuillat, a highly respected private equity lawyer focused on the energy and infrastructure sectors, has joined the firm as a partner in the London office. Feuillat represents private funds on transactions in the renewable energy, conventional power, oil and gas, and mining sectors. He joins Bracewell from Reed Smith.

DLA Piper Argentina is pleased to welcome Nicolás Fernández Madero as partner and Head of the Life Sciences Practice in the Buenos Aires office.

Madero focuses his practice on advising global and multinational pharmaceutical companies in all of their legal, regulatory and contractual matters. He also has extensive experience in a wide variety of industries, representing leaders in verticals including banking, capital markets and blockchain.

In a significant move for the practice and firm’s technology offering, Andrew Joint, Calum Murray, Rich Folsom and Hayley Davis have all been secured as partners in the firm’s London office – with each having previously worked together.

Andrew Joint, Calum Murray and Rich Folsom join the firm from Deloitte Legal, having previously worked at tech-focused firm Kemp Little, before it was acquired by the professional services firm in 2021. Hayley Davis joins Simmons from Goodwin Procter, having worked at Kemp Little and Deloitte Legal prior to this.

Brown Rudnick announced that veteran trial lawyer Adam Schiffer has joined the firm as a partner in its Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group. Schiffer will be based in Houston, Texas, where the firm will also be opening an office, its first in the region.

Quinn Emanuel is proud to announce that Kevin J. Arquit has joined the firm as a partner. An eminent member of the antitrust bar and veteran of major law firms and high government positions, Arquit joins Quinn Emanuel from JBS USA, where he served as Chief Legal Officer for the world’s largest meat supplier. In that role, Arquit oversaw all legal, ethics and compliance efforts for the company in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Europe and the UK.

Winston & Strawn LLP announced that Marc Krickbaum has rejoined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Litigation Department and as a member of the Government Investigations, Enforcement & Compliance Practice.

Marc most recently served in a high-profile role as Deputy Special Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice. He previously served as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois and Southern District of Iowa, and Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General.
