International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) announced that Partner David Holmberg has joined the firm in the New York office. David joins the global Tax Practice.

David’s tax practice focuses on private equity real estate, direct lending and distressed strategies with respect to same. David advises clients on tax aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, debt workouts and restructurings, and has significant experience with public and private REITs and cross-border engagements.

International law firm Bird & Bird welcomes back IT and internet litigation specialist Anne-Sophie Lampe as a partner in the firm’s Tech & Comms team in Paris.

Anne-Sophie is an IT lawyer with 15 years of experience, including two years as an associate at Bird & Bird between 2008 and 2010. She rejoins the firm from August Debouzy, where she was a counsel since 2017. She provides clients with advice and litigation support on major IT projects and cyberattacks. She also advises on potential liabilities of technical intermediaries such as platforms.

Among those are three strategic partner hires, Dr. Boris Scholtka, Dr. Laurenz Keller-Herder and Eric Glattfeld. Together with counsel Karl Holtkamp and three associates, they will join from EY Law.
