Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its private wealth practice with the arrival of partner Alastair Glover, who joins the firm in Dubai.

Alastair is a private wealth partner with more than 15 years' experience advising high-net worth individuals and families, family offices and trustees on global estate planning and tax efficient investment structures. He is ranked in Band 1 in Chambers High Net Worth and is technical director of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) Arabia.

Freshfields announced that Gayle Klein has joined the firm’s litigation practice as partner in New York.

DLA Piper has appointed leading renewables lawyer, Luke Westmore, as a projects and infrastructure partner to be based in Melbourne.

Luke joins us from PwC Legal and prior to that K&L Gates. Luke is a front-end project and infrastructure partner who for the last 15 years has had an exclusive focus on large scale renewable energy projects in Australia and internationally. His clients are mix of international and Australian companies.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP added Craig Waugh to its Phoenix office as a shareholder in the Litigation Practice.

King & Spalding announced that leading antitrust and consumer protection lawyer Sean Royall has joined the firm as a partner in its Trial and Global Disputes practice group. Royall, who will serve as the firm’s Global Practice Head for Antitrust and Consumer Protection, is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. and Houston offices and will also spend significant time in the firm’s Brussels office.

Womble Bond Dickinson announced the further expansion of its Government Contracts and Cross-Border Trade practice with the addition of partners Robert Broadbent and Cherylyn Harley LeBon in the firm’s Charlottesville and Tysons, Virginia, offices, respectively. Broadbent represents clients in international trade and national security matters and government investigations in the commercial and defense sectors. LeBon focuses her practice on government contracts and corporate matters, including regulatory compliance.

Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has announced two lateral partner hires with the appointment of commercial litigation partner Amanda Burge and corporate restructuring and advisory partner Lemi McAuley. Their arrival brings the number of partner hires across the firm to 18 in the past 12 months.

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has announced that Andy Crocombe has joined the firm as a partner in its Professional and Commercial Risks team in Bristol, to lead a specialist team defending claims brought by students and pupils against universities, colleges and schools. This team forms part of the firm's wider education offering, which provides a full range of legal services to the education sector including government bodies and regulators.

Robert J. Nolan has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Trial Practice Group in its San Francisco office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Nolan was a partner at DLA Piper.
