Law firm Shoosmiths has strengthened its dispute resolution and litigation practice by welcoming new partner Hannah Field. 

Hannah is a commercial litigator with over 20 years’ experience across a wide range of complex commercial cross-border and domestic disputes.

Hannah spent a number of years at US firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges where she became partner and later co-head of the London International Dispute Resolution department. She then joined White & Case before moving to Goodwin Proctor to assist with the build out of their disputes team in London.

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard continues its client-led expansion in Germany with a significant lateral partner hire. In May, Kristina Baurschmidt and her team will be joining the firm, further growing its real estate service offering. She will be based in Hamburg and Berlin. Previously, she was a partner in the transaction law firm Lupp + Partner and two major international law firms.

She joins together with senior associate Dr. Natalia Kreuzer. Further growth in the German real estate team is planned.

Winston & Strawn LLP announced the addition of Rodney Moore and Sam Peca as partners in the firm’s Dallas office and as members of the Transactions Department's Private Equity Transactions Practice.

Winston & Strawn announced the addition of 11 attorneys to its Paris office. These additions will strengthen the office’s and the firm’s transactional practice.

Led by Grine Lahreche, who specializes in private equity and M&A, the cross-disciplinary team consists of four partners: Grine Lahreche, Sophie Dechaumet, Edith Boucaya, and Ariane Berthoud; two counsel: Jérôme Mas and Christophe Marie; and five associates: Audrey Szultz, Marie Terlain, Vincent Bourrelly, Emile Nicolas, and Diane Tarantini. All of these attorneys were previously at Hoche Avocats.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added first-chair litigator Jake Evans to the Atlanta office as a shareholder in the Litigation Practice. A former chair of the Georgia State Ethics Commission, Evans joins the firm from the Alpharetta, Georgia office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., where he was managing partner.

Simon Amies has joined Cooley as a partner in the firm’s London life sciences practice. Amies arrives from Covington & Burling, where he was a corporate partner advising on private and public M&A, initial public offerings and other capital raises, as well as venture and growth capital transactions, with a focus on the life sciences industry.

Paul Hastings announced that M&A lawyer Jon Kubek has joined the firm as a partner in New York.

Mayer Brown announced that Adam S. Hickey joined the firm as a partner in its Cybersecurity & Data Privacy, National Security, and Global Investigations & White Collar Defense practices.

Kirkland & Ellis is pleased to welcome back John Lausch, who recently stepped down as the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, following over five years of distinguished service in that position. Mr. Lausch will return to the Firm as a partner in the Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations Practice Group.

Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Lance Dial as a partner in the Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice. He joins the firm’s Boston office from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

Dial has nearly two decades of experience as an investment management lawyer, including having served 13 years as senior in-house counsel with two major asset management firms. In both roles, he provided legal support for a diverse range of issues.
