Dayan Rosen, a skilled deal lawyer with experience advising lenders and private equity clients in acquisition financings, has joined McGuireWoods as a partner in downtown Los Angeles.

Rosen represents financial institutions, private equity firms and portfolio companies in leveraged finance and other transactions, including acquisition financings, middle-market debt financings, syndicated lending, asset-based lending, and cash flow-based debt financings.

McGuireWoods is bolstering its national environmental litigation and regulatory enforcement capabilities with the arrival of Atlanta partner Adam Sowatzka, a former EPA enforcement attorney who brings more than 25 years of experience handling crisis management, major environmental incident response, and civil and criminal investigations and enforcement matters spanning all areas of environmental media, including air, water and waste.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues the expansion of its Labor & Employment Practice, adding David J. Stein as a shareholder in the firm’s Chicago office. Stein joins the firm from Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd., where he was vice chair of its litigation practice.

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Richard H. Rahm as a shareholder in its San Francisco office. Rahm, who was a Littler shareholder from 2006 to 2021, rejoins the firm from DLA Piper. Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of medical negligence specialist Rachael Morris as a partner in its Birmingham office. Rachael brings health, advisory and litigation expertise to the firm’s growing medical malpractice capability.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Rachael leads on complex child neurological injuries and maternity claims for NHS Resolution. Rachael joins from Browne Jacobson’s healthcare team which she joined in 2005. She has worked with Medical Defence Union, Medical Protection Society, NHS Resolution and various NHS Trusts.

Jeremy T. Elman has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in its Silicon Valley office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Elman was with Allen & Overy LLP.

Adding to its growing Chicago office and strengthening its capabilities in complex multidistrict litigation and class-action defense, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP announced that R. Allan Pixton has joined the firm as a partner, resident in Chicago. Pixton joins from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a partner. At Quinn Emanuel, Pixton will be a member of the Complex Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) and the Class Action practice groups, the firm said.
