Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that leading energy law experts Carolyn Dong, Neil Macdonald and Russell Wilkinson are joining the firm in Hong Kong.
Carolyn has over 35 years’ experience advising on cross-border transactions involving China, most notably with major Chinese state-owned enterprises (“SOEs”) and private companies on outbound M&A transactions, acquisition financing, joint ventures with international partners and project development, including large-scale and complex oil and gas, petrochemical and mining projects worldwide.

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that maritime disputes expert Andrew Rigden Green has joined the firm as a partner in Hong Kong. He was previously at Stephenson Harwood in the same city.
Andrew has over 20 years’ disputes experience having begun his career focussing on arbitration and London High Court litigation. In 2012, he relocated to Hong Kong to grow Stephenson Harwood’s maritime disputes practice and establish its international arbitration practice.

As part of our ongoing strategic expansion, we have appointed experienced higher education disputes specialist Nicola Bradfield as a partner in our Birmingham based dispute resolution team.

Qualifying as a solicitor in 2003 and with 24 years’ sector focused experience, Nicola will head our contentious education practice.

She joins from Coventry University, where she was associate pro vice chancellor and general counsel, and before that founded and led the contentious universities team at Pinsent Masons.

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired corporate partner, Rachel Soundy, to join the firm’s Birmingham office.

Rachel joins Pinsent Masons from Bevan Brittan where she led their health and education M&A practice. During the last four years, she played an instrumental role in growing Bevan Brittan’s independent health and social care and education M&A work. Before Bevan Brittan, Rachel spent 13 years at in the corporate team at Eversheds Sutherland where she rose to the position of Legal Director.
