McGuireWoods continues the strategic expansion of its nationally recognized M&A practice with the arrival of partner Brian L. Hager, who brings nearly 17 years of corporate deal experience to the firm’s Richmond, Virginia office.

Hager’s extensive deal experience includes advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, securities offerings and corporate governance matters.  He represents clients across a broad range of industries including manufacturing, retail, consumer packaged goods, finance and insurance.

PARTNER MOVES - Hogan Lovells adds former FAA Chief Counsel Arjun Garg as partner in Washington D.C.

Global law firm Hogan Lovells announced that Arjun Garg, the former Chief Counsel and Acting Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, has joined the firm’s Transportation regulatory practice as a partner based in Washington D.C.

Prior to his leadership roles at FAA, Garg also served as Chief Counsel of the Federal Transit Administration and as a U.S. Department of Justice trial attorney in the Federal Programs Branch of the Civil Division.

Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has continued to expand its market-leading commodities practice with the hire of senior structured trade and commodity finance partner Matthew Cox.

Matthew joins HFW's London office on 6 April from Simmons & Simmons. He was previously Singapore Managing Partner at Dentons.

It is the latest in a series of partner hires for HFW's global commodities practice, following the arrival of commodities disputes expert Daniel Perera and Peter Zaman, Reed Smith's former Singapore Managing Partner and a world leader in climate change finance.
