International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that it has further expanded its presence in Scotland, following on from the arrival of a five partner-led team of complex and catastrophic injury specialists from BLM in November 2019.

The latest additions to the firm’s Glasgow office include partner Keith Mathews and associate Ed Radford, both of whom previously worked at DAC Beachcroft and are rejoining the firm from BLM.

PARTNER MOVES - Withers expands international arbitration practice in Asia

International law firm Withers has bolstered its international arbitration practice in Asia with the hire of arbitration specialist Sherlin Tung as a Partner in its Hong Kong office.

This appointment is a continuation of Withers’ ongoing strategic expansion of its International Arbitration Group, which was established in 2014 and is headed by Hussein Haeri and Eleni Polycarpou in the firm’s London office. It follows the hiring of Emma Lindsay in New York and Soo Khim Keoy in Hong Kong, bringing to 11 the number of partners in the International Arbitration Group.

PARTNER MOVES - DWF appoints new data protection and cyber security partner

DWF, the global legal business, has appointed James Drury-Smith as partner and UK national leader of Privacy and Cyber Security.

James joins DWF from PwC where he was the UK leader for the non-contentious data protection legal practice and the UK leader for the financial services data protection legal practice.

James qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and has been a member of the data protection practices of Pinsent Masons (where he trained) and DLA Piper before joining Barclays Bank to become its group privacy legal counsel in 2009.
