Orrick Advises Telenor on the Sale of a Portion of its Stake in VimpelCom

Orrick advised Norwegian mobile telecom company Telenor ASA (OSL: TEL), a longstanding firm client, in its $500 million public offering in the United States of 142.5 million of its VimpelCom Ltd. (NASDAQ: VIP) American Depository Shares (ADSs), as well as a Regulation S offering outside the U.S. to non-U.S. persons of $1 billion of 0.25% bonds due 2019 that are exchangeable for VimpelCom ADSs.

Global law firm DLA Piper has advised satellite communications provider SpeedCast International Limited (ASX:SDA) on the financing arrangements for its successful acquisition of WINS Limited.

The DLA Piper team was led by Finance & Projects partner Alex Regan, with assistance from senior associate Barbara Carroll and lawyer Rebecca Dang.

Telekom is expanding its largest data center in Germany with the assistance of GvW Graf von Westphalen

Deutsche Telekom AG (Telekom) is expanding its data center in Biere/Saxony-Anhalt. The Telecom group headquartered in Bonn began by laying the cornerstone for this large project this week. GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Telekom in the contract negotiations and structuring of the real estate leasing contract with an obligation to build.
