Dentons advises Taylor Wimpey on acquisition of residential led development in central London

London—Dentons has acted as sole legal advisors to Taylor Wimpey Central London, the specialist central London division of FTSE-100 house builder Taylor Wimpey Plc., on its acquisition of a half-acre site in central London from Linkcity (formerly known as Bouygues Development). The Ebury Centre site is based on Sutherland Street in the sought after area of Pimlico, SW1.

King & Wood Mallesons advises Aurelius on the acquisition of the Northern European activities of Spanish group Abelan

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised the German firm Aurelius Group on the agreement with PHI Industrial for the acquisition of the commercial activities of Abelan Group in Germany and the Netherlands.

Abelan Group is a Spanish packaging company that, since 2012, has formed part of the portfolio of PHI Industrial, a Spanish fund specialising in investments in the industrial sector.

Stibbe advises Aedifica

Stibbe advises Aedifica, a Belgian listed company investing in health care real estate, on reaching agreement to acquire two new senior housing sites in Lochem and Rotterdam.

This is the third investment of Aedifica in The Netherlands. The Dutch portfolio will now soon comprise of seven high quality care residences that are either operational or under construction. McDermott Advises Praxair on EUR 300m acquisition of Yara European CO2 business

LONDON (2 June, 2016) – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery advised NYSE listed Praxair, Inc. on its acquisition of Yara International ASA’s European CO2 business. The transaction also included Praxair acquiring Yara’s 34% stake in the Yara Praxair AS joint venture in Scandinavia. The investment for both transactions is approximately EUR 300m. The transactions completed on 1 June 2016.

Setterwalls assists when Skandia Fastigheter acquires a property located in the city centre of Malmö

Setterwalls has assisted Skandia Fastigheter in the acquisition of a 7,700 sqm office property located in the city centre of Malmö, between Stortorget and Gustav Adolfs torg. The property has earlier been the bank Nordea’s premises.

The Seller is Home Properties and the completion of the transaction occurred on 1 June 2016.

Clifford Chance advises consortium of Korean and French investors on acquisition of 'De Rotterdam'

Clifford Chance has advised a consortium consisting of Korean investors and AMUNDI Real Estate, on the acquisition of the building 'De Rotterdam' in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from Rabo Real Estate Group. The sale comprises approximately 75,000 sq m of office space, the NHow hotel with 278 rooms and approximately 2,000 sq m of conference and event spaces, approximately 3,000 sq m of commercial units and the 5-storey car park with 670 places. This makes it the largest single asset transaction of recent times. It is also the first investment on the European mainland by the Korean investors.

Eversheds Attorneys Ltd. assisted the Baltic Sea Action Group foundation (BSAG), focusing and specialising in restoring and safeguarding the Baltic Sea’s ecological balance, in the acquisition of the domain name bsag.org. The domain name bsag.org had been registered several years ago, and its ownership had changed a few times afterwards. We conducted negotiations with the owner of the domain name of the time on behalf of the Baltic Sea Action Group, enabling the inexpensive acquisition of the domain name bsag.org.

Osborne Clarke advises CHORUS Clean Energy on the purchase of a wind farm in Hürth

International legal practice, Osborne Clarke has advised CHORUS Clean Energy AG on the purchase of a wind farm in Hürth near Cologne. The wind farm includes three wind turbines with an overall capacity of 8.55 megawatts. The seller is the project developer Energiekontor in Bremen. The wind turbines already have been commissioned and are expected to produce 17.5 million kilowatts a year. Through the acquisition CHORUS increases its renewable portfolio to a total of 335 megawatts. The group operates 76 solar and wind farms in five European countries.

Taylor Wessing advises Meadow Partners on the acquisition of Harlequin Building

International law firm Taylor Wessing has acted for international real estate investor Meadow Partners on the £48m acquisition of 65 Southwark Street, a 51,000 sq ft office building from Aberdeen Asset Management, an international investment management group.

The property, which sits on London’s South Bank, was acquired at a yield of over 4%. Tenants at the seven-storey building include online estate agents Zoopla, ATG Media and workplace consultant Maris. Itsu occupies the 3,000 sq ft ground-floor retail unit.
