Ashurst advises Jamie's Italian Limited and The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group on the buy back of its Australian franchise restaurant businesses

Ashurst has advised Jamie's Italian Limited (JIL) and The Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group (JORG) on the buy back of its six franchise restaurant businesses in Australia from Keystone Group Holdings Pty Ltd (Keystone Group), which entered into administration and receivership in July 2016.

JIL and JORG entered into a sale agreement with Keystone Group acting by its receivers and managers and administrators to buy back the five Jamie's Italian and one Trattoria restaurants operating across Australia for an undisclosed sum.
 

DLA Piper advises Catella Real Estate on the acquisition of retail park in Nuremberg

DLA Piper has advised Catella Real Estate AG on the acquisition of a fourth property for its special fund "IWS II – Wirtschaftsregion Süddeutschland" (IWS II): a retail park of approximately 8,500 square metres in Nuremberg, currently 100% let on a long-term basis. The tenants include Aldi, dm, McFit and catering company Asia Palace, amongst others. The seller is a property-holding company of the P&P Group from Fürth.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises Infrastructure Capital Group on the acquisition of Bald Hills Wind Farm

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Infrastructure Capital Group (ICG) and the Energy Infrastructure Trust (EIT) on the successful acquisition of the Bald Hills Wind Farm – a 52-turbine wind farm with an aggregate installed capacity of 106.6MW located in South Gippsland, Victoria. The wind farm has an offtake agreement with Alinta that runs to 2030.

EIT acquired the Bald Hills Wind Farm from the project’s developer, Mitsui & Co, bringing ICG’s renewable energy generation capacity to 455MW across five wind farms in Australia.

RPC advises Zebra in their acquisition of Danish retailer Tiger’s UK stores

RPC, the City-headquartered law firm, has advised Zebra A/S, the Copenhagen based parent company of Danish homewares retailer Flying Tiger Copenhagen, formerly known as Tiger, on its acquisition of certain of the retailer’s UK stores.

Labelled “the Danish answer to Ikea”, Tiger Retail Limited was brought over to the UK by former photographer Philip Bier and his wife Emma Bier in 2005.

Hogan Lovells advises U City on the acquisition of Vienna House hotel portfolio

Led by its partners Nikolas Zirngibl (M&A), Marc Werner (Hospitality) and Martin Günther (Real Estate) Lovells advised U City Public Company Ltd. on the combined acquisition of Vienna House hotel portfolio from two Austrian private foundations and Warimpex Finanz- und Beteiligungs AG.

U City will take over 24 3 to 5 star ranked andel's, angelo and Vienna House branded hotels in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Romania.

Clifford Chance advises Cinven and CeramTec on the takeover of UK Electro-Ceramics

Clifford Chance has advised Cinven and its portfolio company CeramTec on the takeover of UK Electro-Ceramics, with production sites in Ruabon and Southampton, from Morgan Advanced Materials plc.

The deal involves the sale of the entire division for GBP 47 million as part of an asset deal and is due to complete at the beginning of April 2017.
