DLA Piper advises Bomond Group on leasing retail space in Central Universal Department Store

DLA Piper has advised Bomond Group, one of the largest perfumery and cosmetics retailers in Ukraine, on obtaining retail space within the Central Universal Department Store (TsUM) in Kyiv. Under the terms of the lease, Bomond Group will occupy approximately 900 square metres of the development's ground floor. TsUM is a landmark of Kyiv and is scheduled to re-open in late 2016, after a period of reconstruction.

Trowers & Hamlins advises Oman Brunei Asset Management on fifth aircraft delivery in 12 months

Trowers & Hamlins is pleased to have advised existing client Oman Brunei Asset Management SAOC (OBAM) in the leasing of one new Boeing 737-900ER aircraft to Oman Air with third party funding from DVB SE, London Branch.  The 737 aircraft was delivered in early November, and is the fifth aircraft delivery Trowers & Hamlins has advised OBAM on in the last 12 months.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises on first pre-let at Brookfield's 100 Bishopsgate

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised longstanding client Brookfield Property Partners LP ("Brookfield"), one of the world’s largest commercial real estate companies, on its major pre-let agreement, with one of the top 15 banks in the world by market capitalisation, for 250,000 square feet at 100 Bishopsgate.

The bank will occupy floors 1-7 of the 37-storey tower on a 25-year lease. This includes the five podium levels, which have the largest footprint within the development at approximately 44,000 square feet each.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises on the financing of three container ship giants; largest in world

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Minsheng Financial Leasing Co., Ltd on the financing and leasing of three 19,224 TEU container vessels. These “mega box carriers” are the largest container ships in the world.

The size of one 19,224 TEU carrier is equivalent to 4 combined football fields.

Delivery of the first vessel took place on 19 August 2015 in Okpo, Korea, with all parties present.

Booking.com has concluded a long-term lease for 13,500 m2 in the Red and White section of Piet Hein Buildings along the Piet Heinkade quay in Amsterdam. Piet Hein Buildings is located next to the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam on the southern bank of the River IJ. Current lessees include Teva, Corbion, Taxand, Boer & Croon, Havenbedrijf Amsterdam and Hay Group.

Booking.com, a subsidiary of the Priceline Group, is global leader in online accommodation reservations.
