PARTNER MOVES - DLA Piper boosts Projects practice with double partner hire in Australia

Global law firm DLA Piper has further strengthened its Finance and Projects practice with the appointment of two new projects partners in Sydney, Owen Hayford and Jonathan Stafford.

Owen joins DLA Piper from PwC, having established his career at Clayton Utz. He is one of Australia's leading projects lawyers, with over 20 years' experience advising on the procurement, delivery and operation of major infrastructure projects in Australia.

PARTNER MOVES - Six-partner group joins DLA Piper across key markets and practice groups from coast to coast

DLA Piper announced the addition of a six-partner group whose members will be part of the firm's Corporate, Intellectual Property and Technology, and Litigation practices. The partners will be based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and New York.

The lawyers include Thomas Gaynor and Jinjian Huang, Corporate partners in San Francisco; Stephen Reil, a Corporate partner in Los Angeles; Christopher Mooney and Maria Swiatek, IPT partners in Silicon Valley; and Abigail Reardon, a Litigation partner in New York.

Dentons has expanded its insurance practice with the hire of a new Corporate Insurance partner in London, Adriana Cotter. Adriana joins after spending over 11 years at Sidley Austin.

Adriana brings a wealth of experience to the role having advised on numerous high profile transactional, commercial and regulatory matters in the insurance sector, including in respect of run-off and Lloyd's matters.

Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that a three-partner transatlantic private equity team will join the firm in London and Washington D.C. from Hogan Lovells. Ed Harris, who currently leads Hogan Lovell’s Private Equity practice in London, and Leanne Moezi will join as partners in London. Adam Brown, currently a partner in Northern Virginia, will join Paul Hastings’ Private Equity practice in the Washington D.C. office.

Clifford Chance announced that Michelle McGreal has joined the Firm's US Financial Restructuring Group as a partner in New York. She joins from Davis Polk & Wardwell.
McGreal focuses on complex corporate bankruptcy cases and restructurings. She represents debtors, senior lenders and other creditors, as well as purchasers of distressed assets, in out-of-court restructurings and chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
