Slaughter and May is advising Swire Beverages Holdings Limited on its proposed joint venture for Hong Kong’s first dedicated PET and HDPE recycling facility

Slaughter and May, Hong Kong is advising Swire Beverages Holdings Limited (SBHL) on its proposed joint venture with ALBA Group Asia Limited (ALBA) and Baguio Waste Management & Recycling Limited (Baguio) to build and operate Hong Kong’s first dedicated PET and HDPE recycling facility. The mechanical recycling facility is intended to be built on T6, a plot within the EcoPark in Hong Kong.

Allen & Overy has advised the Co-op on an agreement to sell its insurance underwriting business, CIS General Insurance Limited, to Markerstudy.

The deal will see Co-op receive GBP185 million for its underwriting business and enter a 13 year distribution agreement to distribute motor and home insurance products.
