International legal practice Osborne Clarke has acted for Palmer Capital on the acquisition of the Landmark Grade A office building, Aurora.

Backed by Palmer Capital, Cubex Land has successfully completed the sale of Aurora for £62.13m to Royal London Asset Management, achieving a 4.75% net initial yield. Aurora has been the only speculative office development under construction in Bristol and has therefore been able to secure record headline rents throughout its construction.

International law firm CMS has advised UK-based LegalTech start-up Apperio Limited (“Apperio”) on its £7.5 million cash injection in a fundraise round led by Draper Esprit. The Series A round also received support from existing investors Notion, IQ Capital and various angel investors.

Global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has hired Bruno Knadjian to join its Paris office as a Corporate Tax partner.

Bruno joins the firm from Hogan Lovells where he was a partner. His practice covers corporate and transactional tax matters, in particular domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (including acquisitions and disposals of real estate assets), LBO transactions, business transfers, joint ventures and group reorganisations. He also has substantial experience advising on the tax aspects of capital market transactions.
