White & Case Advises Séché Environnement on a €130 Million Euro PP Bond Issuance

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Séché Environnement on a Euro PP bond issuance for a total of €130 million by way of private placement. Séché Environnement is a French company specializing in the reclamation and disposal of household and industrial waste.

Séché issued  a 7-year bond, with an annual coupon of 3.25%, and is one of the most important Euro PP transactions so far this year.

MinterEllison has supported DELWP in the design and implementation of its Victorian Renewable Energy Target (VRET) reverse auction program, a key element of the Victorian Government's target of achieving 25 per cent of electricity in Victoria from renewable sources by 2020.

In 2017 Victoria enshrined its renewable energy targets into law via the Renewable Energy (Jobs and Investment) Act 2017 (Vic). The VRET aims to ensure that 25 per cent of the State’s electricity generation comes from renewable sources by 2020, and 40 per cent by 2025.

Corrs advises Victorian Government on Victorian Renewable Energy Auction

Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has advised the State of Victoria on the Victorian Renewable Energy Auction, which will deliver 928MW of new renewable generation in Victoria.

Six projects were successful in the auction, with each committing to deliver new wind or solar generation in Victoria, ranging from 34 to 336 megawatts. Together, the projects are expected to produce electricity for over 640,000 households, while investing in regional Victoria and creating more than 900 jobs.

In the UK, the team advised on the acquisition of Integrated Technologies Limited (ITL) for a total consideration of up to £22 million, which will enable G&H to take a significant step towards meeting its strategic objectives, including doubling the revenue of its life science business and accelerating its move up the value chain, with all of ITL's sales coming from system based products.

Construction of the wind farm commenced in March 2018 and is expected to be completed in mid-2019.

CMS advises shareholders of software provider Softgarden on sale to Investcorp Technology Partners

Berlin – Technology investor Investcorp Technology Partners has acquired Softgarden, a human resources (HR) software provider. The seller is a group of investors including Cipio Partners, Brandenburg Kapital, Neuhaus and the two company founders, Stefan Schüffler and Dominik Faber. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is currently awaiting the usual clearance from the competition authorities.

Baker McKenzie advises PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) on USD1.5 billion revolving credit facility and term loan facility

A cross-border team from Baker McKenzie has advised PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) ("PLN") on a revolving credit facility and a term loan facility at a total value of USD 1.5 billion, with a greenshoe option of up to USD 500 million.

This deal is the first large-scale syndicated offshore financing for the Indonesian state-owned power company. The loan facilities will be used by PLN for capital expenditure and general corporate purposes.
