Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP (GT) continues to strategically expand its presence in Texas with the addition of a member of the Texas Supreme Court Rules Advisory Committee. Charles “Skip” Watson joins the firm as an Appellate Practice shareholder in its Austin office.

Wolf Theiss and Winston & Strawn advised U.S. Automotive Supplier Hendrickson in the Acquisition of the Polish Site of Frauenthal Group

Hendrickson, the US automotive supplier, acquired the U-bolt division of Frauenthal Group. Wolf Theiss and Winston & Strawn (Paris) advised the worldwide leading player in the field of chassis components for heavy-duty engines on the acquisition of Frauenthal Automotive Torun in Poland.

Hendrickson was advised by Jerome Herbet and Sara Susnjar from Winston & Strawn, Paris, and Doris Buxbaum from Wolf Theiss, Vienna. The deal was signed on 30 May 2018. Stefan Weber from Weber & Co. acted as head legal counsel of Frauenthal.

Shoosmiths real estate team advises on deal to bring hundreds of much needed homes to the West Midlands

National law firm Shoosmiths has advised its client Kier Living on the first-stage of its multi-million pound project to deliver homes across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

It is part of a ten-year joint venture between Kier Living, Homes England and Cross Keys Homes. The partnership will deliver up to 5,400 homes across England, but the first four mixed tenure developments have been announced for The Laurels in Tipton; Meadowbank, Newcastle-under-Lyme; The Orchards in Rushwick and Chelmsley Lane, Marston Green.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Enertronica on N$100m financing with Bank Windhoek

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Enertronica S.p.A. on the structuring of N$100 million financing made available to the special purpose vehicle Sertum Energy Namibia (Proprietary) Limited and on the negotiation and finalization of the finance documents with Bank Windhoek.

Enertronica S.p.A is an Italian listed company active in the energy and mobility sectors.

KWM advises InfraRed Capital Partners on the Lal Lal Wind Farm acquisition

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) advised InfraRed Capital Partners on its acquisition of a 40% equity stake in the Lal Lal Wind Farm from Macquarie Capital.
 
Located in the central highlands of Victoria, Lal Lal is a 228MW greenfield onshore wind farm consisting of two wind generation projects. The wind farm is currently under construction with completion expected by the second half of 2019. Upon completion, the wind farm will have capacity to generate a combined output of over 660,000 MWh annually, enough energy to power over 92,000 households.
 

Virgin Money and CYBG plc GBP1.7 billion acquisition

Allen & Overy is advising Virgin Money Holdings (UK) plc (Virgin Money) on the offer by CYBG PLC (CYBG) for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Virgin Money.

The offer values the entire share capital of Virgin Money at approximately GBP1.7 billion.

A&O has acted for Virgin Money since 2007, when advising on its bid for Northern Rock.  Since that time, A&O has advised Virgin Money on multiple transactions, including on the acquisition of Northern Rock from the UK government in 2011 and on the IPO of Virgin Money in 2014.

Bird & Bird advise US cloud management company Calero Software on its acquisition of UK based Veropath

International law firm Bird & Bird advised Calero Software, on its strategic acquisition of UK based company Veropath, a leading provider of telecoms expense management software. Calero is a portfolio company of Riverside Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, which focusses on growth companies primarily in the healthcare and tech sectors.

Clifford Chance advises BNP Paribas REIM on the financing of the building located on 49-51 rue La Boétie in Paris

Clifford Chance advised SCPI Accimmo Pierre, managed by BNP Paribas REIM, on the financing of the acquisition of the office building located on 49-51 rue La Boétie in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.

The building, entirely refurbished by Poste Immo, will house Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Paris headquarters in 11,000 m² of office space and has the Breeam, NF HQE, LEED and Effinergie Rénovation certifications.

A long-term financing was set up by SCPI Accimmo Pierre with a pool of banks arranged by Natixis.
