Leading provider of digital business applications, Software AG, has acquired Belgian industrial analytics company TrendMiner NV. International law firm Clifford Chance has advised Software AG on this technology-driven transaction.

Software AG continues to expand its technology portfolio in the Internet of Things with TrendMiner. Clifford Chance has been advising Software AG as a preferred provider for many years.

Stuttgart – Listed Belgian real estate company Cofinimmo SA has acquired 17 care home properties spread across four German federal states in a portfolio deal. The vendor is a joint venture of European private equity firm Revcap. All 17 care homes are operated by Stella Vitalis GmbH under long-term leases. The acquired portfolio is valued at EUR 172 million.

The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has advised Auto1 group on its partnership with inter alia, Deutsche Bank AG and Allianz SE as the German startup expands into FinTech to ease the financing for customers buying its used cars.

The three partners together own more than 50 percent in a new company called Auto1 FinTech, that will offer refinancing loans and insurance products to car dealerships buying Auto1’s vehicles.

Auto1 FinTech started in Germany and will expand to Poland and France later on this year.

International legal business DWF has appointed partner Adrian Flynn to its office in Dublin where he will work with the insurance team focussing on defendant personal injury claims. He joins from DAC Beachcroft.

International law firm CMS is delighted to announce the appointment of Patrick McPherson as a partner in the firm’s infrastructure, construction and energy (ICE) disputes team in Dubai. He will start on 14 June. Prior to joining CMS, Patrick was a partner at Hadef & Partners and before that he led the legal team at Dutco Balfour Beatty, one of the region’s leading main contractors.

Duane Morris LLP has added Alain Villeneuve as a partner in its Chicago office and a member of its Intellectual Property Practice Group. He joins the firm from Vedder Price in Chicago, where he was a shareholder. The addition of Villeneuve follows a May announcement that seven IP attorneys from Vedder Price had joined Duane Morris across its New York and Washington, D.C., offices.
