Linklaters announced that Rahul Chatterji will join as a partner in the firm’s Asia Banking practice, further strengthening its existing leveraged finance capability.

Rahul, who joins from Shearman & Sterling where he was a partner in their London office, is a market-leading debt finance lawyer with extensive experience in advising both lenders and borrowers across a wide range of complex cross-border financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, public-to-private transactions, investment grade borrowings and special situations transactions.

Global law firm Ashurst has appointed banking litigation and investigations expert Philip Linton as a partner in its Disputes & Investigations practice based in London.

Philip joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was a Managing Director and led the firm's EMEA Litigation and Contentious Regulatory team. Philip has worked at Goldman Sachs for the past 12 years.

Global law firm Dentons is expanding its Employment and Labor practice in Germany with the recruitment of Dr. Philipp Byers as a partner. He will join the Munich office on May 1, 2023 together with counsel Kathrin Wenzel, Manuela Winkler and Christian Fischer.

The new team will establish the Employment and Labor practice in Munich to complement Dentons’ existing employment practice in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. The team will also strengthen Dentons’ offering in employee data protection.

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired partner Eleanor Ludlam to join the firm’s TMT team in London.

Eleanor specialises in cyber and data risk and has significant experience in acting for insurers and insureds operating in a range of sectors including banking, manufacturing, technology and media. 

She has a background in both commercial litigation and data protection underpinning her practice advising clients on privacy litigation, cyber and data risk matters. 

She joins from DAC Beachcroft where she has been for the past four years.

Lucas has over three decades of experience advising publicly traded and privately held technology providers on intellectual property, international trade, and complex litigation matters. He accumulated much of this experience while serving as general counsel for Intergraph Corporation, a global technology company, and later a clinical laboratory software company.
