Terry has specialised in pensions law for over 25 years and advises employers and trustees on the full range of legal issues including scheme restructurings and disputes.

National law firm Irwin Mitchell is expanding its Construction & Engineering Team with the recruitment of a new partner, Robert Tunningley, who will be based in the firm’s Gatwick office. 

The appointment takes the specialist construction team to thirteen, with three partners and two trainees. The team is led by Mark Clinton and sits within Irwin Mitchell’s Property Division which will now number 27 partners and over 150 qualified lawyers. 

PARTNER MOVES - Pinsent Masons makes triple partner hire to energy team in Spain

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired three prominent energy sector partners to its Madrid office.

Hermenegildo Altozano, Alfonso Bayona and Juan De Navasqüés all advise both domestic and international clients on energy projects and transactions in Spain. This includes M&A, corporate power purchase agreements, project financings and all corporate transacational work.

All three join from Bird & Bird in Madrid where they developed a well-respected energy practice, led by Hermenegildo Altozano.

Charles practises civil and commercial litigation, specialising in professional liability, product liability, general liability, class actions, defence, coverage and regulatory work in the province of Quebec. He has a particular focus on property and construction law, directors and officers’ liability, errors & omissions insurance, and cyber risk.

International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) announced the addition of new Partner Fraser Wayne to the Energy, Environment & Infrastructure Practice Group. Fraser will be resident in BCLP’s Denver office.

Fraser’s practice focuses on domestic and international energy transactions, with an emphasis on acquisitions, divestitures and development arrangements involving renewable and non-renewable assets and related infrastructure.

Valdez is a trial attorney with more than 20 years of experience practicing labor and employment law. He has represented clients in a range of high-stakes employment matters, from wage and hour class actions, founder and executive disputes, breach of contract actions, whistleblower and retaliation claims, discrimination and harassment matters to traditional labor arbitrations. Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP added Bruno Cova as European co-chair of Restructuring & Insolvency and Compliance groups. Cova joins as shareholder and will be based in Milan.

London-based Shareholder John Houghton, who joined the firm in September 2021 and previously served as the head of restructuring at the London office of Latham & Watkins, along with Berlin-based Shareholder Claudia Hard, will join Cova as Co-Chairs of the European Restructuring & Insolvency Practice.

Joining the firm from Greenberg Traurig, Sarah's practice specialises in advising developers and funders on a wide range of transactions in the real estate sector, with particular expertise in private equity backed funding transactions, development and development finance, and bond leaseback transactions. 

Sarah has worked across a wide range of real estate asset classes, including student, build to rent and co-living, mixed use developments, logistics and life sciences.
