PARTNER MOVES - Hogan Lovells welcomes partner Rafael Ribeiro's return to firm following his in-house position with Disney

Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Rafael Ribeiro has returned to the firm’s Miami office as a partner following an in-house position as Assistant General Counsel with the Global Ethics and Compliance Management team at The Walt Disney Company.

Ribeiro will rejoin Hogan Lovells’ Disputes practice group in the firm’s Investigation, White Collar, and Fraud practice area. He also joins our Sports, Media, and Entertainment industry sector.

Johannes Blassl will join Heuking’s Frankfurt office as Equity Partner. The crypto and compliance specialist joins the firm from Ernst & Young Law where he practiced as Senior Manager, Financial Services in banking and capital markets law.

Johannes Blassl (37) advises banks and companies on capital markets law and regulatory issues while also focusing on the use of blockchain technology in the financial markets. In addition, he advises companies on all legal issues relating to compliance, in particular on major cross-border transactions.

Jill joins from White & Case where she focused on US capital markets and leverage finance transactions. She has extensive experience representing prominent investment banks, corporates and private equity firms on leveraged finance and acquisition finance transactions, as well as other debt and equity capital markets transactions.

Franklin spent 15 years at Duke Energy, most recently as managing director of regulatory affairs for North Carolina. In that role, he led a team that handled regulatory matters for subsidiaries Duke Energy Carolinas (DEC) and Duke Energy Progress (DEP), which serve a combined 3.7 million electric retail customers in North Carolina.
