Global law firm Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of Mary Anne Roff as a partner in the firm's global Projects & Construction (P&C) group.

Mary Anne joins from Eversheds Sutherland and is a leading lawyer in energy and infrastructure disputes, with nearly 30 years' experience. She advises on disputes throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

PARTNER MOVES - DAC Beachcroft strengthens national Real Estate team with partner hire

DAC Beachcroft is pleased to welcome partner Sally Morris-Smith to its national Real Estate team, which now numbers 35 partners and over 150 lawyers. Sally will be based in the firm’s Manchester office.

Sally advises worldwide investors on commercial property development investment and property finance. She joins from Shepherd & Wedderburn where she was a partner in their Property & Infrastructure team. Prior to this she was a partner at Kennedys and has also worked at Olswang and Linklaters, where she trained.

A partner and two new solicitors have joined the London tax, trusts and estates team at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth.

Partner Helen Clarke and solicitor Jessica Fazzone join from BDB Pitmans. Helen, who qualified as a solicitor in 2000, specialises in advising clients on matters involving intergenerational wealth, such as implementing tax structures for passing on assets in families, and strategic planning for inheritance tax matters.

International law firm Pinsent Masons welcomes new tax partner, Eglantine Lioret, and her team, into the firm's Paris office.

Eglantine Lioret joins from Herbert Smith Freehills, where she has been a partner since 2015 and head of the Paris tax practice. Eglantine has over 15 years experience advising both French and international clients on a range of cross-border and national matters, particularly on acquisition structures and asset restructuring.

International law firm Pinsent Masons makes key city hire as it welcomes financial services partner Andrew Barber into the firm's London office.

Andrew joins from Womble Bond Dickinson, where he has been a partner since 2014 and head of their London office. Andrew has nearly 20 years experience working on a broad range of retail financial services.

With extensive experience as a financial regulation practitioner, Andrew will be joining the Financial Regulation team where he will work with the team to further develop the existing financial services (FS) proposition.

Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has hired Peter Lu as a Partner and Head of the China Group in London, joining its fast-growing London Corporate practice. Peter joins the Firm on Monday from White & Case where he was head of their EMEA China desk and Counsel in their London M&A practice. His hire follows that of White & Case Capital Markets partners Rob Mathews and David Becker last month.
