WFW advises Nordic Solar Energy on acquisition of Italian PV portfolio

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Danish investment firm Nordic Solar Energy A/S on the acquisition of a photovoltaic portfolio with total capacity of 14 MW from Sella Investment.

The portfolio comprises 14 rooftop and ground mounted PV plants in the Italian provinces of Pordenone, Genova, Siena, Latina, Roma and Teramo.

WBD advises Brittany Ferries on UK government contract for additional freight capacity for no-deal Brexit

Dentons advises Dutch company Royal Reesink on acquisition of AM Group

Frankfurt—Global law firm Dentons has advised Dutch company Royal Reesink on the acquisition of Germany’s AM Group in the growing market of automated warehouse systems. The deal expands Royal Reesink’s warehouse automation and equipment business into Germany and other countries in which the group already operates. The parties have agreed not to disclose the acquisition price.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises on financing for Australia’s largest solar PV farm

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation on the project financing of Darlington Point Solar Farm, to be located approximately 10km south of Darlington Point in western New South Wales.

At financial close on 21 December 2018 funds managed by Octopus Investments acquired a majority stake in the project, their first in the Australian renewables market. Edify Energy has been developing the 275 MW(AC) solar farm, which will be Australia’s largest solar PV farm upon completion.

Hill Dickinson advises Peel L&P on joint property venture

Leading commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has advised Peel Land and Property (Peel L&P) on a joint venture with Urban Splash, to bring modular urban living to Wirral Waters, the UK’s largest regeneration project by consented floorspace.

The transaction was led by corporate partner Mike Jones and property partner Simon Felce.

Contacts have now been exchanged on the £55m development, which will be the first ever collaboration between Peel L&P and Urban Splash.
