Eversheds Sutherland has enhanced its capital markets offering with the hire of Partner, Mohsin Abbasi.

Mohsin joins the global law firm’s banking and finance team from Clifford Chance, Dubai.

He brings a wealth of experience in debt capital markets and Islamic finance as well as advising financial institutions, corporate, sovereign and public sector clients on local and international transactions on both the issuer and bank side.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has expanded its UK Banking team by hiring acquisition finance partner Laurie Keel.

An experienced acquisition and leveraged finance specialist, Laurie joins the firm from the banking team of an international law firm, where he led their leveraged finance practice.

As a partner for over eight years, he brings wide cross-sectoral expertise to the firm, along with a network of relationships cultivated through a strong track record of consistent delivery for clients – particularly alternative lenders.

Daniel has a very strong reputation for leading complex and innovative strategic equity transactions in Europe and internationally and was previously a partner at Allen & Overy.

Dr. André Hofmann, LL.M. (Melbourne) (51) joined HEUKING’s Frankfurt office as an Equity Partner. An experienced lawyer specializing in financial regulatory law, Dr. Hofmann brings a wealth of expertise to HEUKING’s Banking & Finance division.

Previously, Dr. Hofmann was part of Linklaters, having transitioned there from CMS in 2007. He served as counsel at Linklaters since 2014.
